Extreme H, the innovative motorsport company, has officially completed the production run of its newest race car model, the Pioneer 25. This cutting-edge car is set to revolutionize the racing industry with its advanced hydrogen fuel cell technology, replacing the previous Odyssey 21 model utilized by Extreme E for the past four years. Manufactured by Spark Racing Technologies just outside Paris, France, ten Pioneer 25 cars have been meticulously crafted following rigorous testing in various locations, including the southwest of France and Scotland. The extensive testing program involved the equivalent of three full seasons’ worth of racing mileage, ensuring that the cars are finely tuned for optimal performance. Renowned test drivers such as Le Mans winner Romain Dumas and Extreme E regulars Hedda Hosaas, Timmy and Kevin Hansen, and Catie Munnings have contributed to the development of this groundbreaking vehicle.

Setting a New Standard in Hydrogen-Powered Competition

With a peak power output of 400kW and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds on all surfaces, the Pioneer 25 boasts remarkable performance capabilities. Additionally, the car can conquer gradients of up to 130 percent, showcasing its versatility in various racing conditions. While Extreme H will remain a single-make series, manufacturers will have the opportunity to implement their own hydrogen fuel cells, provided they are production units designed for road vehicles. The Pioneer 25 cars currently feature fuel cells produced by Symbio, a subsidiary of the Stellantis automotive group.
