The open test session for IndyCar at Indianapolis Motor Speedway was a disaster. The internet went kaput right when things were about to get going. Drivers were all ready to hit the track at 10am, but then everything fell apart.
Not really sure why this matters, but the loss of internet meant that race control couldn’t talk to the teams. Seems like a pretty big deal to me. The switch to digital communication really backfired this time.
Instead of the veterans getting their two-hour session, everything got pushed back to 12:45pm. Looks like it’s going to be a long day for everyone involved.
