Mercedes-AMG, a prominent figure in the All WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD Pro and GTD classes, faced a new challenge as they integrated IMSA torque sensors into their cars for the first time during the Roar Before The 24 event. The sensors, designed to provide real-time data on acceleration, horsepower, and torque curves, aim to assist in the Balance of Performance process throughout the season, mirroring strategies used in other racing classes.
