So, like, Haas just signed this mega deal with Infobip, which apparently is this huge company that nobody really knows about. I mean, they made over $1.8 billion last year, so they must be doing something right, right? Anyway, Infobip is all about providing communication tools for big shots like Google and Uber, and they also help with stuff like WhatsApp and Apple Messages for Business. Pretty cool, huh?
The deal was announced right before Haas’ first home race at the Miami Grand Prix. Infobip will have their branding on Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman’s cars, and they’re gonna help the team connect with fans in new ways using AI and other fancy tools. Mark Morrell, the Haas director of marketing, was all pumped up about it, saying it’s a proud day for them and that Infobip is a big deal even if you’ve never heard of them.
Ivan Ostojić, the chief business officer at Infobip, spilled the beans on why they decided to partner up with F1 and Haas. Apparently, they reach like two-thirds of all mobile devices in the world with their services. That’s insane, right? And they work with companies like Uber, Google, Microsoft, Walmart, Coca-Cola… the list goes on. This is the first time they’re getting into sports partnerships, and they thought F1 and Haas were the perfect fit.
Ostojić said, “We see that nine out of 10 Gen Z population members prefer to text with the business or their sports club than to call. We are really thinking that Haas reminds us of us, they’re coming from nowhere and trying to shake the establishment. This is also what we like to do so I think this partnership has a lot of passion in it.”
He also talked about how Formula 1 is all about excellence in engineering, where milliseconds really matter. Infobip’s CEO was apparently not keen on sports partnerships before, but F1 was a different ball game. Or should I say, a different race track?
So, yeah, Haas and Infobip are teaming up to take the F1 world by storm. Who knows what kind of magic they’ll create together? Exciting stuff, right? Let’s see how this partnership unfolds on the track and beyond.
